The European quality assurance scheme for breast cancer services, developed by an international panel of healthcare professionals, quality assurance experts, epidemiologists, researchers and patients, under the overall coordination of DG JRC and DG SANTE, has been endorsed by the European co-operation for Accreditation on 21 November. This milestone lays the foundation for the planned rollout of the scheme by the Commission.
