Sad loss for the ECIBC and ECICC communities

It is with profound sadness that we have learned about the passing of Dr. Markus Follmann, a distinguished expert and pivotal contributor to the European Commission Initiative on Breast Cancer (ECIBC) since the start. Markus served as Vice-Chair for Methodology, where his dedication, expertise, and positive spirit were instrumental in shaping the work of the ECIBC Guidelines Development Group.

Markus’s extensive experience in quality assurance significantly influenced the development of the Integrated Methodological Framework for the EC initiatives on cancer. His expert contributions also extended to the European Commission Initiative on Colorectal Cancer (ECICC), further demonstrating his commitment to advancing healthcare across Europe.
