- The transversal supportive care group has begun updating broader cancer care requirements (rehabilitation, follow‑up, survivorship, palliative care), serving as a pilot for all six European quality assurance schemes under the EC cancer screening and care initiatives.
- The Working Group also issued recommendations on invitation strategies, screening age ranges, frequency and test types, and approved quality indicators for monitoring implementation.
- Dedicated topic-specific groups are drafting guidance on FIT cut‑off thresholds, micronutrient primary prevention and management of premalignant lesions.

| 2024 | - Following the publication of the screening age-range recommendations, the ECICC Working Group has now approved quality indicators to monitor the implementation of these recommendations. The quality indicators are being planned for publication in association with the screening recommendation.
- The ECICC Working Group approved the general requirements to be included in the European quality assurance scheme for colorectal cancer services. These requirements will be harmonised across all European quality assurance schemes.
- The ECICC Working Group began working on recommendations related to screening age ranges and tests and conducted the second round of prioritisation (update of the list of priority questions by including those related to colorectal cancer diagnosis).
