Call for expression of interest for the EC Initiative on Gastric Cancer Working Group
Europe’s "Beating Cancer Plan" is a comprehensive strategy aiming to improve cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship in the European Union. As part of this plan, the European Commission has launched the European Commission Initiative on Gastric Cancer (EC-GaC), taken forward by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) of the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC).
This open call aims to select a pool of experts to support the project with specific tasks based on expertise. From this expert pool we will also select a working group and two chairpersons to support the initiative’s activities.
The expert pool will serve to:
- constitute a working group, including two chairpersons,
- participate in topic-specific group activities related to their expertise,
- replace a working group member in case of need.
All clinical, scientific and technical experts in areas related to gastric cancer prevention, as well as for patients and/or caregivers, are invited to apply using the online application form. Please read carefully the call document before applying.
Applications for the first round of appointments are now closed. However, the application will remain open for candidates who may like to be considered for future rounds of evaluation.
