Invitation strategies to colorectal cancer screening programmes

CRCGL004

Type:
Research protocol
Status:
Open
Open for:
Public
Deadline:
7 November 2024

The European guidelines on colorectal cancer prevention, screening and diagnosis provide evidence-based recommendations and good practice statements intended to optimise patient care.

Each guideline recommendation is based on the best available body of evidence obtained through systematic reviews. For each question, the systematic review team seeks evidence related to all people-important outcomes.

The research protocols describe the planned methods of the systematic review, including: question and objectives, eligibility criteria, databases to be searched, proposed search strategy, methodology for data extraction and analysis.

The EC's Joint Research Centre has launched a call for feedback from stakeholders on the draft protocols for conducting the systematic reviews informing recommendations on invitation strategies.

Please note the first protocol addresses breast, colorectal and cervical cancer, while the second focuses on colorectal cancer only.
